No hospitality business is an island. Our portfolio of properties is also a proud network of hands-on humans and change-makers. We connect with local organisations close to our addresses in Europe and the United States and beyond to support partners in tackling local and global challenges. We’re excited to celebrate some of the heroes playing a valuable role throughout our value chain thanks to these impact-led partnerships and charity collaborations.
Which charities do we work with and why?
Cruyff Foundation
High impact sports and play for children’s development
Johan Cruyff, one of the greatest Dutch footballers, established this foundation based on the vision that sports and games are fundamental to a child’s development. The foundation focuses on children and young people for whom sport is unavailable, such as those with an impairment, and by setting up outdoor sports facilities in deprived areas and social sports programmes. This creates spaces in which children can develop, make friends and improve their physical and mental health.
The team from Pulitzer Amsterdam take part in the Cruyff 14K run each year to support fundraising and participate in a range of events throughout the year.

Keeping families close to heal together
For 40 years, Ronald McDonald Kinderfonds has been ensuring that children who are ill, can feel better by having their families stay close by. Families can stay in one of twelve Ronald McDonald Houses within walking distance of the hospital. The charity also provides living rooms in the hospitals and has three holiday homes to help families find new energy to heal together.
Pulitzer Amsterdam is a Ronald McDonald Huis sponsor of the House next to the AMC Hospital in Amsterdam. As well as fundraising, volunteering, and meal provision, in 2018 and 2024 the hotel arranged for the renovation of two-family rooms in the house, entirely Pulitzer style. The two rooms are identical to our hotel rooms.
