Making, cancelling & amending a booking

How can I enhance my reservation?

If you would like to enhance your reservation with for example champagne in the room, a late checkout or a transfer to the hotel please get in touch with our Guest Relations team at guestrelations@pulitzeramsterdam.com.

What is the cancellation policy?

Policies can vary for special offers and packages. Please review the booking description of your reservation. If you have booked a flexible rate, cancellations must be made before 6pm the day prior to arrival. If you cancel after 6pm the day prior to arrival, you will be charged a cancellation fee of one night’s room and tax. Fully pre-paid bookings are non-refundable. An early departure fee of €50 will be charged if guests check out prior to their departure date. For more information regarding our cancellation policy, please refer to our Terms & Conditions page.

Arrival and Departure

What times are check-in and check-out?

Standard check-in time is 3pm local time. Early check-in is based upon availability, and cannot be confirmed until check-in time. We suggest to book the night before at the best available rate to ensure an early check-in the next day. Standard check-out time is 12 noon. A late check-out may be requested, but cannot be guaranteed and is subject to availability. An additional fee of 50 EUR per hour will be charged between noon and 6pm. After 6pm, a full night’s stay will be charged at the best available rate for that day. An early departure is free of charge for all reservations with a flexible cancellation policy. Reservations on prepaid rates cannot be amended without losing the full deposit.

Does the property have 24-hour reception?

Yes. We have a dedicated reception team 24 hours a day. 

Can I store luggage at the hotel?

Luggage storage is available to guests of the hotel through the Front Desk at no charge. Luggage can be held at the hotel during your stay for up to 24 hours after departure. The hotel is not responsible for luggage stored over 24 hours after departure. 

Parking

Is hotel parking available?

You can take advantage of our valet parking service at the cost of 90 EUR per day. You can also park your car along the canal in front of the hotel or at the closest parking garage: the Euro Parking located on the Marnixstraat. Please note that the maximum height of your vehicle for the valet parking and the parking garage is 1.90 meter.

Does the property have EV charging stations?

Electric vehicle (EV) charging stations are located right in front of the hotel, along the canal. Whether you're staying overnight or just stopping by, you can easily recharge while enjoying your time with us.

Getting to and from the Hotel

Do you offer a shuttle service?

Pulitzer Amsterdam does not offer a shuttle service. The Concierge Team can arrange your transportation or airport pick-up. Contact them via concierge@pulitzeramsterdam.com.

Can you organise transportation for me?

The Pulitzer Chauffeur car service allows for an easy, stress-free arrival at the hotel. You can reserve your luxury private car and driver by emailing our Concierge Team here

How do I reach the hotel and where is the entrance?

Pulitzer Amsterdam is accessible by train or taxi. From Amsterdam Central Station guests can take tram line 13 or 17 to the hotel. You can find all details about how to get to Pulitzer Amsterdam here. 

Does the hotel have bicycles available?

Explore the city on two wheels! Bike rentals are available at our Concierge for €14 (3 hours) or €19 (24 hours).

What is the nearest underground station?

The closest underground station is Rokin, about a 15-minute walk from the hotel. However, navigating the city by tram is often easier. Our nearest tram stop is Dam or Elandsgracht, just a short walk away.

Payments

Do I need to provide credit card details?

A credit card guarantee is required for all room reservations. Upon arrival the card may be pre-authorized for room charges and incidentals. The pre-authorization will be released at check-out. Guests paying in cash will be asked to pay a deposit at check-in of 50 EUR per person per night in addition to the room rate. The unused portion of the deposit will be refunded at checkout.

Which payments methods are accepted?

All major credit cards are accepted. At the hotel, charges can be settled with cash, debit card, or travelers’ check. We do not accept personal checks.

Can charges be settled by a third party?

A non-guest wishing to pay for a guest in the hotel must fax a copy of the front of the credit card along with a credit card authorization form prior to the guest’s arrival. Credit card authorization forms can be obtained directly from the hotel.

Can I pre-pay for my booking?

Guests have the option to pre-pay for their booking for a faster, smoother check-in experience. Secure your reservation in advance and simply relax when you arrive.

Are gift vouchers available for purchase?

Pulitzer Amsterdam gift vouchers make excellent gifts and can be purchased online here. 

Can I receive a final bill upon check-out?

A VAT invoice will be issued upon check-out. If you prefer, we can also email it directly to you. Just let us know your preferred email address at reception.

My Stay

Does the hotel offer breakfast?

Breakfast can be enjoyed at our restaurant Jansz. or at Pulitzer Garden. Jansz. offers an extensive breakfast buffet for €44,- per person and a continental à la carte menu. Pulitzer Garden offers a continental à la carte menu only, from 8:00 in the morning. 

What features are included in the rooms?

All our rooms are thoughtfully equipped for your comfort and convenience. Enjoy tea and coffee facilities, a hair dryer, in-room safe, fully stocked mini bar, iron and ironing board, air conditioning and heating, a laundry bag, and multiple charging ports for your devices.

Are you a pet friendly hotel?

Yes, guests may bring one small dog or cat to their room. Pets are not allowed in the restaurant or other public areas. The cost is 50 EUR per pet per day. Note: The dog may not be taller than 55 cm (1.8 ft). 

Are your restaurants dog friendly?

You're welcome to bring your dog to Pulitzer Garden. To make sure all our guests are comfortable, pets aren't allowed in Jansz. or Pulitzer's Bar.

Do you have wheelchair accessible rooms?

The hotel offers fully fitted accessible guest rooms. To reserve this room type, please contact us directly.

What accessible features do you have?

We provide shower tools for guests with limited mobility, as well as a wheelchair available for use within the hotel premises. Please contact us in advance to arrange these accommodations. 

Are your bedrooms non-smoking?

All guest rooms and public spaces are 100% non-smoking. In our garden, smoking areas are set up which are available until 21:00.

Do you have rooms where I can open the windows?

Please note that only some rooms have windows that can be opened. If this is important to you, kindly inform us prior to your arrival so we can accommodate your preference.

Is it possible to arrange additional amenities or gifts?

Our experienced Guest Relations team is pleased to assist in arranging special amenities and gifts to enhance your stay. Please feel free to share your request with us by sending an email to guestrelations@pulitzeramsterdam.com.

Do you have bathtubs in the rooms?

Bathtubs are available in select room categories upon request. Please let us know in advance so we can accommodate your preference.

Does the hotel have a Concierge Team?

Our experienced Concierge Team is available daily from 7 AM to 11 PM to assist you. Many of our staff are proud members of the prestigious Clefs d’Or community or are currently on their journey to join the prestigious community.

What restaurant and bar facilities are available at the hotel?

Experience a seasonal menu inspired by Dutch heritage at restaurant Janzs. For a more relaxed atmosphere, enjoy all-day dining at Pulitzer Garden, featuring a beautiful courtyard. Unwind with crafted cocktails at our fabulous Pulitzer Bar. Plus, our 24-hour room service menu is available whenever hunger strikes.

Does the hotel offer room service?

Yes, the hotel offers room service 24 hours a day.

Do you offer a children's menu?

A special children’s menu is available at restaurant Jansz. and Pulitzer Garden. 

Can dietary preferences and allergies be accomodated?

We gladly accommodate all dietary allergies and preferences. Please let us know in advance so we can tailor your dining experience perfectly to your needs. 

Are vegetarian and vegan options available?

All our outlets offer delicious vegan and vegetarian dishes. Just ask your waiter for recommendations when ordering.

Does the hotel have a hypoallergenic offering?

For a more comfortable stay, hypoallergenic bedding is available upon request. Just let us know prior to or during your stay.

Families & Friends

Is the hotel suitable for families?

Yes, the hotel is completely child-friendly. We offer special Family Rooms and Suites and a nanny service. Additionally, we offer baby care products, cots and children's amenities and games. At restaurant Jansz. We serve a special children's menu for both lunch and dinner. Discover more here

Can I have an extra bed in my room?

A fee applies for to have an adult rollaway bed added to a room. A supplement of 30 EUR is charged for an additional bed for children between 3 to 12 years of age. An additional bed for guests of 13+ will be charged the full price (50 EUR).

Does the hotel offer connecting rooms?

Are you able to provide baby cribs?

Baby cribs are available upon request. Just let us know in advance, and we'll have everything ready for your arrival.

Are there any age restrictions?

Guests must be 18 years or older to reserve a room. Minors should stay at the hotel with company aged 18 and above. Service of alcoholic beverages is restricted to those 18 years and above (with valid identification).

Is it possible to store breast milk?

We’re happy to assist with the safe storage of breast milk during your stay. Simply inform our team, and we’ll make the necessary arrangements.

Convenience Services

Do you have international power adaptors? 

We provide international power adapters upon request for your convenience. They are also available for purchase in our minibars at €25 each.

Is there a lost & found?

Our Lost and Found department is here to help you recover any misplaced items during your stay. Please contact reception for assistance.

Can I store medication?

We offer secure storage for your medicines during your stay. Just ask our team for assistance.

Who do I contact if I want to book an event at the hotel?

Will the hotel accept packages addressed to me before I arrive?

We are happy to receive packages on your behalf prior to arrival, provided you have an existing reservation. Please ensure they are clearly labeled with your name and check-in date.

What are the key local attractions within walking distance of the hotel?

Our hotel is ideally located within walking distance of some of Amsterdam’s most iconic landmarks, including the Anne Frank House, Oude Kerk, and Dam Square. Perfect for guests looking to explore the heart of the city.

Where is the closest pharmacy/essentials store?

The closest pharmacy is BENU, located on Rozengracht. Less than a 10-minute walk from the hotel.

What local restaurants and bars are within walking distance of the hotel?

You’ll find plenty of restaurants and bars just a short walk from the hotel. Our Concierge Team is happy to recommend the perfect spot and assist with reservations.

Does the hotel have 24-hour security?

We have 24-hour security for any and all needs.

Does the hotel have a responsible sourcing policy?

Pulitzer Amsterdam is aligned with Lore Groups Responsible Sourcing policy for all procurement of goods and services.

Does the hotel use renewable energy?

In 2025 Pulitzer Amsterdam invested in Renewable Energy of Origin (RECs) certificates to guarentee green technology that supplies the local electrcity grid. This covers all property electrcity consumption.

Does the hotel measure its carbon footprint?

Pulitzer Amsterdam measures and has third party assurance of all Scope 1 and Scope 2 CO22 emissions. The property partially measures Scope 3 Co2e emissions including water; waste; refigerants and external laundry emissions.

Does the hotel make a donation for booked rooms?

Through Lore Group’s partnership with Made Blue, every room night sold across our hotels funds 100 litres of clean, fresh water. Hotel Specific Questions

Do all rooms offer a canal view?

While many of our rooms and suites have canal views, some have garden or courtyard views. Subject to availability, rooms can be upgraded to a Canal View room for an additional fee.

What is the city tax and when does it have to be paid?

9% VAT is included in the price. 12.5% City Tax per room per night is not included in the rate and must be paid upon check-out.
